The White Hotel Room

Frankentypes archifringe 2018

In 1818, Dr. Frankenstein stitched three crucial elements together: Life, Death and Technology. His ‘monster’ was a grotesque and sublime representation of the interwoven nature of these contrasts; life and death not as opposites but as distinct halves of the same whole. The White Hotel Room explores this idea of stitching together two collective-memory-architecture typologies: the amusement park and the cemetery.
